Sanjay Dutt released for 14 days from Yerwada Jail, flaunts abs

Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt was granted a 14 day furlough by Pune’s Yerwada Central Jail authorities, where he is currently serving the remaining of his three-and-a-half-year sentence in the 1993 Bombay blasts case. Sanjay Dutt has a brief supporting role in the just released Rajkumar Hirani’s movie PK starring Aamir Khan and Anushka Sharma in lead roles.

Sanjay Dutt, who is now sporting a handlebar mousetache and salt and pepper hair, interacted with the media outside his plush Bandra residence in Mumbai and even showed of his abs for reporters, since has lost a lot of weight.

Speaking to the media outside his residence, Sanjay Dutt said: “I have lost 18 kg. Now if I lose any more weight, I will vanish.”

He added: “I didn’t get any special treatment. I had applied for furlough five months back, then later it was sanctioned. Thanks for all your support.”

He also said that while inside jail, he has ‘written 10 scripts and will start working on them soon’.

Sanjay Dutt had been sentenced for five years for illegal possession of arms in the 1993 Mumbai serial blasts case. But ever since his sentencing nearly 18 months ago, he has spent more than 110 days out of prison, which has caused quite a controversy.
